the very first demo and simultaneously the very first rehearsal together - during a stay together in a church arming house without alcohol - Autumn 1988.

in eisenhüttenstadt und überall in der ddr trafen sich viele punks in kirchen gemeindehäuser um sich dort treffen und frei sprechen zu können. einzigste bedingung des pfarrers war, daß wir den alkohol draußen lassen sollten. einmal bot er uns an, 20 km weiter auf ein dorf in ein kleines gemeinderüstheim namens "Ragower Mühle" zu fahren. ebenfalls ohne alkohol. also nahmen wir ein paar instrumente mit und probieren mal was anderes als saufen. daraus entstand die band brächraits. und dieses erste "demo".

(in eisenhüttenstadt and all over the gdr, many punks met in church community houses to meet there and speak freely. The priest's only condition was that we should leave the alcohol outside. Once he offered us to drive 20 km further to a village in a small community scaffolding house called "Ragower Mühle". also without alcohol. so we took a couple of instruments with us and tried something other than drinking. from this the band brächraits came into being. from this weekend is this very first "demo")
